The Five State Drive
You know those bands you find well after their heyday and it hurts that you weren't there for the show? The Five State Drive is one of the biggest for me. They were a band from Fairfax, Virginia from 1993-1998. They embody everything I love about the sound of that time, the tones, the production, the songs unencumbered by modern living, harkening back to something I hear bands try to replicate to this day. Five State drive is criminally unknown and underappreciated. Ticklefight is a great introduction to the band and one of my favorites from them, encompassing a lot of what makes them great, Give it a spin today, you just might find your favorite new band.
