6/30 TOTW - Run Coyote, Run by Framix
The wind gust, the coyote howls and the pick scrapes strings before opening up right in the thick of the show. Run Coyote, Run by Framix is the best kind of surf garage rock, it keeps you bopping the whole way while finding little windows to let the weird shine in throughout. The tones on the guitar are shiny and perfect, the drums and bass dance off each other grooving through the night. Having dug a little bit into Framix (and I will be digging further) this track doesn't necessarily stand as an earmark for the eclectic sound of Framix, there is much to uncover with this very interesting and intriguing artist.
