9/01/25 Broken down path by The Slim Sadies

Sometimes the universe reaches out and reminds you how beautiful it really is. The Slim Sadies just recently hit my radar when they played a show with Onyankopon and they hit me hard, They have a sound I had forgotten I love, ethereal yet imposingly efficient, a sound that demands your attention but once it has you it just wraps around you like a warm blanket on a cold night.

The band moves as a unit, a unified sound where every instrument is there to hold up the next and a voice that slides right in as a guide rail through the abyss. The Slim Sadies are challenging and welcoming in equal measures, and I really want you to listen to the entire EP "Hurry Up", that this track is from when you're done here, the journey as a whole is one worth taking. If you dig "Broken down path" I urge you to continue down their path and reach out to them and show them some love, they've already shown it to you.
